The inaugural season of the San Luis & Rio Grande Railroad ended successfully. We all have lots to think about after this "shake-down" season and we're exploring ways and means of making next year's season more successful for all of us.

The Lodging Tax initiative that was on the November, 2006, ballot was passed by the voters of Huerfano County and, shortly, the Huerfano County Tourism Advisory Board will begin to have some funding to work with in fulfilling their mission. There are some very creative people involved with this program and they have some excellent ideas on the table.
