The Spanish Peaks Airfield (Huerfano County Airport) is located about 5 miles north of Walsenburg: exit 57 on the I-25, then go north about a quarter mile, turn right and go east about 1 mile. The terminal building is small but adequate. 100LL fuel is available. The main runway (8/26) is paved, 4900' long, 60' wide. For LIRL CTAF: 122.8, 2 clicks on, 3 clicks off. |
